A hydrostatic test is a pressure test in which the pipe or other component is pressurized to evaluate its integrity. This test is used to evaluate the structural integrity of pipeline or other pressure containing infrastructure.

Hydro test is performed to ensure the safety, reliability, and leak tightness of pressure systems, A pressure test is required for a new pressure system before use or an existing pressure system after repair, Hydro Test of piping systems should be at a pressure of 135 percent above the maximum System design pressure or as desired by client.
